These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you (the "Customer" or "User") and Samrat Book (operating via samratbook.store). By accessing our website, purchasing books, or participating in our Book Rental Program, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Nature of Services

Samrat Book operates as a retail bookstore, educational supplier, and book lending facilitator based in Nimbahera, Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. We supply authentic physical books across school curricula, competitive examinations, higher education, fiction, and general reference.

samratbook.store is an informative, static portal. We do not operate an online shopping cart or automatic payment gateway on this website. All transactions, availability checks, and order confirmations take place through direct human communication via our official telephone line and email address.

2. Book Purchasing Guidelines

• Originality & Condition: All books sold as new are 100% authentic editions sourced from legitimate publishing houses or authorized distributors.
• Pricing & Taxes: Book prices conform to publisher Maximum Retail Prices (MRP) or negotiated promotional rates. Any applicable regional shipping charges will be explicitly communicated prior to order dispatch.
• Availability: While we maintain extensive stock, book availability is subject to physical inventory. If a title is temporarily out of print or out of stock, we will inform you promptly.

3. Book Rental Program Terms

Our Book Rental Program allows students and avid readers to borrow books for study or leisure under the following conditions:

1. Security Deposit: Customers are required to provide a refundable security deposit prior to book handover or dispatch. The deposit amount corresponds to the fair replacement value of the title.
2. Rental Duration: Books may be rented for predetermined intervals (typically 15, 30, or 60 calendar days). Extensions must be requested prior to the expiration of the current rental period.
3. Condition & Maintenance: Rented books must be maintained in good physical condition. Normal handling wear is accepted. Borrowers must not tear pages, detach bindings, cause water damage, or highlight texts with permanent ink.
4. Deposit Refund Process: Upon return and quick physical inspection of the book, the security deposit is refunded 100% within 3 to 5 business days.
5. Unreturned Books / Severe Damage: In the event a rented book is lost, destroyed, or unreturned past 14 days after the due date without notice, the security deposit will be forfeited to purchase a replacement copy.

4. Intellectual Property & Prohibited Goods Policy

Samrat Book strictly adheres to national copyright laws and Meta / WhatsApp Commercial Policies:

• We exclusively supply authentic copyrighted publications. We categorically refuse to sell, rent, photocopy, or distribute pirated, counterfeit, or illicit copies.
• Our catalog does not contain any restricted, adult, violent, or legally prohibited literature.
• All trademarks, logos, and cover art displayed or referenced are the intellectual property of their respective publishers and copyright holders.

5. Limitation of Liability

Samrat Book shall not be held liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from courier transit delays caused by force majeure events (such as severe weather, roadblocks, or regional postal disruptions).

6. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. Any legal dispute or claim arising out of these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Chittorgarh / Nimbahera, Rajasthan, India.
